For this project, a zine or fanzine, is a collection of fanart, writing, and music that all relate to a certain theme. The theme for this zine is the Anomaly Zaun alternate universe that Ekko and Heimerdinger experienced in Pretend Like it’s the First Time.

This will be a charity zine, the charity we will be donating to will be determined after the interest check.

The zine will ship to any location that USPS (the United States Postal Service) can ship to, which is currently over 180 different international countries and domestically. If there are changes to where we can and can’t ship (such as due to strikes), we will provide more information about that closer to preorders.

Yes, although it will not be the main focus of the zine. Timebomb (Powder x either version of Ekko) will be a ship featured in this zine.

This zine will be SFW but may feature any canon-typical depictions of violence or death. This zine is accepting 18+ contributors.

The entire premise of the zine is based on the alternate universe (what we call Anomaly Zaun in this zine) Ekko and Heimerdinger experienced in Pretend Like it’s the First Time. So in a way, yes the theme is based on an alternate universe, but all pitches and creations must relate or stem from the specific Anomaly Zaun shown in the show.

OCs as main characters will not be allowed, but, for example, if you are writing a story and needed characters to act as the judges of the competition Ekko is participating in, then that is alright. OCs are okay in the sense of fleshing out the world, but our focus in this zine is on the canonical main and side characters.

We are open to the idea of Zaunites who weren’t shown in the episode to be included in this zine. Such as: Are Sevika and Corin Reveck still around? How has the change to Zaun changed them?

The focus of the physical zine is on Zaun, so characters such as Jayce, Caitlyn, and Mel will have very limited presence in this zine unless it relates to any of the Zaunite characters. An example is Vi’s death: how did Hextech become banned and what was Jayce’s fate as a result of her death?

Depending on the results of the interest check, we are considering a digital mini zine add-on that will, in fact, focus on Piltover and be much more speculative and theory based. More information about this mini zine and whether or not we plan to go through with it will be revealed after the interest check.

Absolutely! But note that you will only be accepted into one position. You will have the chance to let us know what position you prefer in your application.

We will share the guideline details to our contributors once they’re on board, but everyone will be required to create an original, unpublished piece based on a pitch accepted by the mods. We ask that you have three pitches of at least a general idea for what you want to create (though a solid set of pitches may boost your application above others with vaguer ones), and once accepted we will ask for a minimum of three pitches.

To an extent, yes. We want a diverse array of pitches and styles in this zine and not have so many ideas leaning towards Timebomb, for example. Unique pitches are a great way to give applicants a leg up if we are deciding between which of two applicants to accept.

Depending on sales, the mod team will do their best to provide a full bundle or at the very least a physical zine at no cost to the contributors. In the event that contributors need to pay for any items, at production value and including extra merch items, the contributors must have a Paypal to pay for any extra costs.
